There are two options for a foreigner to obtain Polish citizenship:

Polish citizenship may be granted by the President of the Republic of Poland and is not subject to any conditions. It also means that the President may grant Polish citizenship to any foreigner at his discretion. The process may take several years.
Recognition as a Polish citizen by the Voivode, in accordance with the applicant's place of residence. If the applicant has been staying in Poland continuously for more than three years on the basis of a permanent residence permit or a long-term resident's EU residence permit, holds a certificate confirming the knowledge of the Polish language at the B1 level and associates his future with Poland, he may submit an appropriate application to the Voivode. The procedure may take approximately 2 months.
